Week 8 Tutorial

After Discussing my idea with my tutor, she made the good point that I should remember that I need to focus more on an architectural entity, and mobility, and that the system it self would be designed by an engineer, not an architect.
She also mentioned that the previous idea that the group had was more successful, and that I should focus more on the transport system within Canberra.
To be honest, Im quite relieved at this, as I think that concentrating on this area would mean that I can focuss on designing for Canberra. She talked about the idea of creating a architectural entity- so maybe a station that can be temporary, or mobile, so the station can be moved during busy times. This concept would depend on the location I chose at the airport, and I will have to do some research regarding the airport terminal itself before I can make a decision on the station design itself.

I spent the rest of the tutorial thinking about if I can still use the EDM line and designing a station that can move with the rail to different areas, depending on where the most traffic will be at a certain time. The system will need to be light and mobile, and obviously stable enough to support large amounts of foot traffic, and obviously provide cover from the elements.
