After looking at the new Master Plan very closely, I have decided that the best location for the new station would be above ground in between the new axial road leading up toward the new departures terminal of the Airport. This area was chosen, because it is the most convenient space for the station to be located without interfering with traffic, new construction, or, if designed correctly, the new design or symmetry of the new Terminal.
Placing the station on second floor- at the departures terminal, mean that the light rail can approach the airport above ground, so that no roads need to be changed for the light rail to be introduces, and, I propose that the station be connected to the front of the departures terminal via a bridge which will have a set of traffic lights at the road side, allowing passengers to safely cross the road to the terminal without affecting the traffic too much. I think this will be a more efficient method as, after a lot of experience at the road crossings at Brisbane's Domestic Terminal, it can take a long time for vehicles to cross with the continuous foot traffic.
