I did some research on where school children stay when visiting Canberra on their year 5 and 6 school excusions. The following is a list of different types of accommodation that I found that numerous schools use:

• Canberra Carotel Motel
• Bush Capital Lodge
• Capital Country Holiday Village
• Rydges  Eagle Hawk Resort
• Greenhills Conference Centre
• Eagle Hawk Resort

• Canberra City YHA

• Best Western Sundown Motel
• Gold Creek Tourist Resort

The map shows how spread out and far away these locations are from the centre of Canberra. This shows how far these students have to travel by bus to visit all the different attractions and Historical landmarks of Canberra. These trips would be much faster and more efficient if they were done on a light rail system. They would also work out more cost efficient.
