I found it a little bit easier to think more broadly about the themes that were given to us, and consider scenarios that are more crazy and different. I found that the mobile theme intrigued me more than the others so I am hoping that I will be placed in a mobile tutorial. I also found that Jane Foster explained what we had to do more clearly than the other tutors that spoke to us.
After the tutorial I researched Jenifer Siegel, and am very interested in her use of prefab design. I watched an interview that inHabitat did with her regarding prefab design and, the most important information that I got from her was that Prefab construction is:
· clean and efficient
· a more precise form of building
· And its applicable to any kind of environment.
I am hoping to explore the ideas of prefab design further in the coming weeks.
Another Youtube video that I watched called "Cube3 Architecture Modular Home Concept" was very informative. It shows how a simple cube shape can be the basis shape for a modular home. The designers start off a cube and alter it slightly to create a home or ever stack them on top of each other and creating double story homes or appartment buildings.
